Lisa Rockford, Assistant Professor at Broward College, will speak about her inspirations for the upcoming exhibition she is curating; national and international professional artists who have portrayed interpretations of gender or critique of the cultural influence on gender identity. This is the first lecture in a series of Artist Talks presented by Broward College North Campus Fine Arts Department and Student Life. The accompanying exhibition, “Appropriated Gender,” which opens Sept. 15 @1310 Gallery in Ft Lauderdale, will feature 44 regional artists along the same theme.
